This short book is likely to redirect the way you think about leadership. Building on the key results of positive organizational scholarship and positive psychology, Cameron informatively and convincingly outlines the chief reasons why positive is positive in organizations that strive to make a difference. The the idea is to focus upon "what is life-giving" instead of only focusing upon what is life-depleting, and from an "affirmative bias" "focus on strenghts and capabilities and on human potential." (p. 2). This leads the author to discuss such themes as positive deviance, positive climate, positive relationships, positive-energy networks, strenghts, supportive communication, positive meaning, and the effect they have on performance.

It should be stressed that the book is based on solid research.
