A useful book for a performer. The book is basically a transcript of two couching processes by the author. The key ideas and concepts the author describes as follows:
"Throughout the book, I will strive to emphasize several key concepts. These are: learning how to Center effectively; doing simulation training; using appropriate process cues; the concept of optimal performance versus trying to be perfect; keeping thoughts positive or being mentally quiet; the need for courage; developing a preperformative routine; and learning to trust yourself." (p. 7)
"The bottom line is that this is a better way to approach high-pressure situations: being positive versus negative, being focused versus catered, and using that energy versus freaking out."
