Kay Redfield Jamison: Exuberance. The Passion for Life, Vintage 2004

This book is so full of life, so overwhelmingly beautiful  in its life-energies, that is hard to believe it is written by respectable Professor from Johns Hopkins University. Yet it is: I praise Professor Jamison for showing what an academic mind at its best can yield to the general public, to all of us. What a delightful, empowering, reassuring book. Based on extensive reading, powerful talent for insight and analysis, as well as illuminating discussions with some of the most creative people alive, Jamison eloborates the theme of exuberant life better than anyone I know to have done before. I have been reading the book on and off for a month or so and always come out more joyful, more trustful of the miracle we have - in life.
