Peter M. Senge: The Fifth Discipline, Revised edition, Doubleday 2006

Senge's modern classic continues to be the most important single book on leadership I know. This revised edition pushes further some of the key ideas of Senge's original work while preserving the bulk of the 1990 edition. Senge's writing is beautiful in its clarity, persuasive in its depth, drawing from the idea that "there must be a more human, more productive, and ultimately more creative way for people to work together."

For me personally, Senge has been a tremendous inspiration and a key source in my teaching and in the Systems Intellegence approach that Raimo P. Hämäläinen and I have developed at Helsinki University of Technology.
